Good Friday

What's so good about Good Friday?

1. It was our infirmities that Jesus bore our sufferings that he endured
2. Jesus was pierced for our offenses
3. Jesus was crushed for our sins
4. Upon Jesus was the chastisement that makes us whole
5. By Jesus' stripes were we healed
6. Jesus was smitten by the sins of His people
7. He gave His life as an offering for our sin
8. The will of the Lord was accomplished through Him
9. Through Jesus' suffering, He justified many and our guilt He bore
10. Jesus surrendered Himself to death and won pardon for our offenses

Where can the weak find a place of firm security and peace, except in the wounds of the Savior? (St. Bernard of Clairvaux)
